Project Description

Velana International Airport is the key project of One Belt One Road, representing the friendship between Maldives and China.  This project is designed and managed by AECOM along with other world renowned design and consulting team,   while the Seaplane Floating Dock is manufactured by Shen zhen Horizon Marina. This project not only represents the national image of Maldives, but also represents the urgent demand of the growing tourism industry in this country. With the international leading technology in every part of this project, Velana International Airport is known as the Chinese Miracle in the Indian Ocean, and the Seaplane Floating Dock is an integral part of Maldives tourism industry.
